Our Story
Transforming spaces through textile art.

Founder
Daniela Rivas
I have always been fascinated by the way spaces shape the way we feel. Before dedicating myself to textile art, I spent nearly a decade working as an architect and interior designer. It was during those years that I realized a space is never defined solely by its materials or its layout, but by the emotions it evokes in the people who inhabit it. Over time, I discovered that textiles allowed me to express what architecture alone could not. Through fiber, I found a language capable of bringing movement, depth, and a profoundly human dimension into the spaces we live in. In 2020, I founded NAVIR with the vision of reinterpreting traditional craftsmanship through a contemporary perspective, demonstrating that textile art can play a meaningful role within architecture and interior design. Nature has always been my greatest source of inspiration. In its rhythms, textures, colors, and forms, I find the starting point for every piece I create. Each work begins with a story, a landscape, or a fleeting moment that leaves a lasting impression and is transformed into a textile composition. Today, I work alongside Salvadoran artisans who share my belief that traditional knowledge should not remain static, but continue to evolve through contemporary design. Every piece is the result of this collaboration—where creativity, craftsmanship, and time come together to create something truly meaningful. Today, NAVIR’s works are part of private residences, hospitality projects, commercial spaces, and architectural installations across different countries, always guided by the same purpose: to create pieces that transform the experience of inhabiting a space. Because I believe art is not only meant to be observed. It is meant to be lived.
We believe spaces have the power to shape the way we live. A space can inspire calm, awaken memories, invite contemplation, or simply become a place where we feel we belong. NAVIR was born from that belief.
Based in El Salvador, NAVIR is a contemporary textile art studio dedicated to creating handcrafted works that engage in dialogue with architecture and transform the way spaces are experienced. Every piece is thoughtfully conceived to bring a quiet yet meaningful presence, where texture, light, and materiality become part of the identity of a place. Textile is our language. Through the reinterpretation of traditional craft techniques, we explore the expressive potential of natural fibers to create works that convey movement, depth, and a profound connection to nature.
We collaborate closely with Salvadoran artisans, believing that inherited knowledge is a living legacy—one that deserves to evolve while remaining true to its essence. Every project is the result of a slow, intentional, and deeply human process, where time, craftsmanship, and purpose are valued as much as the finished work itself. From collectible artworks to large-scale installations for private residences, hospitality, and commercial spaces, every commission begins with a unique story. We do not repeat solutions. Instead, we listen to the space, understand the people who will inhabit it, and create a work that could only exist in that particular place.
In an increasingly fast-paced and digital world, we believe in the value of what carries the human touch. In the quiet beauty of natural materials. In processes that require patience. And in art as a way of bringing sensitivity back into the spaces we inhabit. Because in the end, a piece does not transform a space simply by the way it looks. It transforms it by the way it makes us feel.
How We Work
Sustainability
Our Techniques
We draw from ancestral weaving and knotting traditions, practiced and passed down through generations of artisans. Slow craft, deliberate form.
Natural Materials
We work exclusively with natural fibers — cotton, wool, jute, and palm — sourced for their quality, origin, and minimal environmental impact.
Handcrafted by Artisans
Every piece is made by hand by our team of artisans. The irregularities and textures you see are not flaws — they are the signature of human making.
Social Sustainability & Circularity
We believe in fair practices, long-lasting objects, and materials that return to the earth. Navir is built on the principle that beauty should not cost the world.
